Cajun Shepard's Pie

This is one of those dishes that evolved from "I like this but I don't like that", and my husband loves beef, but I wanted to use turkey for the sake of health. He is never sure that I use Turkey instead of Beef.

1 ˝ lb. Potatoes (peeled, boiled, & drained)
2 T. Low Cal Margarine
2 T. Low Fat Milk
Oil Spray
2 lb. Ground Turkey
1 sm. Onion (chopped fine)
2 - 3 cloves Garlic (minced & optional)
1 T. Flour
1 can Chicken Broth
Tony Chachere's Seasoning
 1 tsp. Allspice
3 T. Tarragon Vinegar
2 tsp. Worchestershire

Mash potatoes with margarine, milk and a little salt & black pepper to taste. Set aside.

Spray skillet with oil spray and fry the ground turkey on medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté on medium low heat until wilted.

Add flour and broth together, stir into meat mixture. Add next 4 ingredients and simmer until slightly thickened. About 15 minutes.

Pour meat mixture into a deep dish pie plate or 1 ˝ quart casserole dish that has been sprayed with oil. Spread mashed potatoes over meat evenly.

Bake in a 350° oven for 25-35 minutes, until top is golden brown.
