FRESH FRUIT SALAD

I have made this fruit salad for the last 30 years with very little variation. I have used Equal Sweetener for the last 15 or so years, because you can't tell the difference between it and the real thing.

2 c. Peaches (fresh or fresh frozen cut in bite size pieces)
2 c. Pineapple (I use fresh frozen, but, you can use 20 oz. Can of Pineapple Tidbits in its own juice)
2 c. Apple (peeled, cored & cut in small bite size pieces)
2 c. Orange (peeled & cut in small bite size pieces)
2 c. Seedless Grapes (cut in half)
2 c. Bananas (peeled & cut in bite size pieces - OPTIONAL)
1 c. Pecans (chopped small - OPTIONAL)
16 oz. Jar Maraschino Cherries (cut in half)
8 pkg. Equal

Mix all ingredients in a 3/4 gallon container. Be sure and use all juices.

This needs to be made the day before serving so flavors can marry.

I only use bananas if the salad is going to be eaten in a couple of days because they turn brown and ruin the flavor of the salad. When I make it for my husband & I it last too long to use the bananas. It easily last for 7 days without the bananas.
