Kiss Me Cake

Linda

You can't have a comfort meal without chocolate. And this is the chocolate cake to beat all chocolate cakes. My cousin Linda introduced me to this chocolate cake, and it has been of great comfort ever since. It is decadently rich and will bring your sweetie to a "sugar shock" that will knock their socks off.

1/4 lb. Margarine
1 c. Sugar
4 Eggs
16 oz. Hershey's Syrup
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. Baking Powder

Cream margarine and sugar, add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add syrup and vanilla, beat well.

Mix flour and baking powder and add to chocolate mixture and beat well. Pour into a greased and floured 13"x9" baking pan. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes. Pour topping over HOT cake.

TOPPING:

1/4 lb. Margarine
1 c. Sugar
4 oz. Carnation Evaporated Milk
3/4 c. Hershey's Kisses

Melt margarine in a medium 1 quart sauce pan, add sugar and milk, stir until all is mixed. Cook on a medium low fire. Watch for mixture to start boiling. After 1 minute of boiling, remove from burner and add Kisses. Beat by hand or with mixer until texture is smooth. Pour HOT topping over HOT cake. Great served hot, warm, cool, cold and anywhere in between.
