DUMP CAKE

Lord, this is one of those recipes I wish you could see the piece of paper it is written on. Food stains, brittle, frayed edges, and the paper is an orangey - yellowey color. It was one of those recipes you always kept the ingredients for because it could be thrown together in short order. It was piping hot, ready to serve as the meal was ending and the coffee finished brewing

20 oz. Can Crushed Pineapple (UNDRAINED)
1 can Cherry Pie Filling
1 Yellow Cake Mix
1 c. Pecans (chopped)
1 stick Margarine (cut into small pieces)
Cool Whip (optional)

Dump pineapple (juice and all) into a 13"x9"x2" greased pan and spread evenly over bottom of pan.

Dump pie filling over pineapple and spread evenly.

Dump cake mix over cherry pie filling and spread evenly.

Sprinkle nuts over cake mix and put margarine pieces over nuts.

Bake at 350° for 50 minutes.

Serve warm with cool whip or ice cream. Or you can serve it cooled, great either way.
